Panasonic SRG06FG Features

Size:

If you’re looking for a way to make the perfect batch of rice for you and your family, then the Panasonic SRG06FG 3.3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker might be the answer to your prayers. This particular model from Panasonic comes at a 3-cup measurement, which is great for making a solo or a family-sized batch of rice.

Interior:

The interior of the Panasonic SRG06FG 3.3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker is made from tough, brushed aluminum, which makes for quicker and more even heating during the cooking process, ensuring that your rice is properly and quickly cooked. The glass lid allows for cooking at a glance and traps the heat (for quicker cooking), moisture (so that your rice doesn’t dry out), and the nutrients (which are usually lost when you cook rice on a stovetop) inside the cooker.
The Panasonic SRG06FG 3.3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker comes with a non-stick interior so that scooping out the rice after cooking is easier and neater.

What others are saying about the Panasonic SRG06FG?

Online consumers on Amazon have really rated this rice cooker fairly highly in their rating system.  It is currently receiving 4.1 / 5 stars out of 255 reviews at the time of this article.  The most common comments are that this is a very good, dependable rice cooker.  Some of the negative reviews are the aluminum pots and water overflowing.

Note:   The water flowing problem is actually more common on budget rice cookers.  One solution is if you find the water overflowing then adjust your water to rice ratio because you are probably using too much water!

My Review

For the price, the Panasonic SRG06FG 3 cup rice cooker can consider a good buy for someone on a budget.  It won’t have all the bells and whistles as a high-end cooker but it is a definite upgrade from cooking rice the old fashion way on a pot over an oven.   You can normally find this cooker in around the $100 range on Amazon.com which isn’t too bad just don’t expect too much from it.

My main concern with the rice cooker is that the interior pot is made of aluminum which is a much cheaper quality than the stainless steel pots of better cookers.  Aluminum containers do not dissipate as well so prepare to have some burnt rice especially near the bottom if you are not careful.
